Euro Deepstack

Kickoff

Was really up for last weekends Euro deepstack tornie in Dublin and so was really down when i went from chipleader to busto hours before the bubble. A disturbing reoccurence which has now happened in back to back major tornies (/mesa_de_jantar_poker_Blog_de_Midnitekowby_19_12_10_26_12_10sonhar_com_manga_jogo_do_bicho_Rounders123.html).

Am obviously doing alot right when amassing these stacks but as i mentioned in my last blog, im still at times trying to hammer the ball 300 yards with a freckin putter in my hand!!

Day1 started great with a sweet table draw and some nice cards i chipped up fairly handy from the starting stax of 50k to 90k, got moved tables to find myself between 2 time deepstax final tablist and irish eyes pro Jason Tompkins and Noel Clarke from Mayo, have great respect for both of these lads games so there were definataly easier spots out there. Leaked chips a bit when i first arrived here, felt things going against me, so slowed it down til i got my barrings.



I remember a great piece of advice Andy Black gave me out at the WSOP, think it was after day3 in the 09 main event, when i had amassed a large stack. He talked about tornies being such a long road and that whilst i was flying high now, feeling invincible, there would be times where things would turn against me, where nothing i do would go well, moves would fail, hands wouldnt hold. His advice was that during these times, to take your stack into a cave, dig a hole 10 feet down, bury it, eat the bloody map and just wait....

Aguarde a mudança, talvez seja um revendedor, talvez seja uma mão simples da ABC, tocada bem, talvez seu AAS derrube um belo panela, mas espere que essa confiança ganhe volte e depois que você o recebeu de novo, então cavar tudo de volta eTraga -os para a colheita ... Foi o KKS que me tirou do transe induzido por Andy Black, eu o 3bet Butt 3bet de 4bet Joz com eles e ele deve ter sido dividido em alguma forma de zen na época ao lidar com sua aq, simplesMot, mas me levou de volta à zona e consegui levar mais alguns pequenos depois disso e voltou aos meus 90k quando a mesa quebrou.

A pressa

Encontrei -me sentado à esquerda de Noel McMahon, continuo esbarrando em Noel com essas coisas e ele parece um jogador muito sólido e um gentil de um homem.Estava definitivamente feliz por estar do lado esquerdo da mesa.Começou bastante agressivo aqui, entrando em muitos 3Bets e Openin muito, eu havia chegado a mais de 120 mil quando um jovem garoto agro -scandi se abre do EP, há um apartamento em torno da área de Co/HJ e estou no botão com as damas, então eu coloquei até 10/11kish, esperando que pareça um botão clássico Sqeeze, Scandi Nutjob lento cai direto na minha armadilha e 4BETS seu ATC a 33k, sem muito ensinado eu o coloquei para sua pilha de 100k, ele pensa para umEnquanto, parecendo muito doente consigo mesmo, ele chama isso com os reis !!Mas devo dizer que joguei o fracasso lindamente, pregando o Q para mandá -lo fazer as malas.Noel me disse depois que eles estavam na mesma mesa o dia todo e foi apenas a segunda mão que ele abriu, tanto para essa leitura !!



No segundo a último da noite, eu estava do lado direito do AAS v KKS para terminar o dia 3 de fichas depois de ambos os dias com uma pilha de 334k voltando no dia seguinte.Tive um conhaque atrevido no bar depois para me ajudar a dormir, sem tanta sorte, cabeças zumbindo com panelas, eu não dormi até 5.30 no A.M.

O aumento

Day2 começou bem, a outra pilha de 300k+ na minha mesa se abriu, eu achatei o botão com K10cc e vi um belo flop 9JQCC, chamado seu CBET e levantei o Turn Burrh, na esperança de jogar para Staxs, sem tal alegria, exceto um bom começo para o dia, a mão 2 foi ainda mais agradável quando eu 3bet KKs do corte para 12k, o Apele da UTG enviou 90k com seus JJs, J na curva para o drama, mas mais uma vez eu o superei no rio quando o K desceu!Ainda nesta primeira órbita, eu levanto 10 a 5kish no POS inicial, fico achatado no meio e um jovem 3bettor, fiz o que os jovens 3betores fazem e 3 aposta das persianas a 25k ...

Ele estava jogando 160k, então Staxs era realmente estranho aqui, não pode levantar dobrar, mas um empurrão parece demais e só será chamado por mãos melhores, seriamente contempladas dobrando, mas apenas se sentiu muito fraco versus esse cara neste local, então euApareceu -o e, surpreendentemente, o mais plano apareceu no fracasso do 10JQCC, que foi meio bom e meio horrível ao mesmo tempo ... então o agressor lidera por 25k para o 75K, o que poderia estar facilmente induzindo o empurrão, eu decidiPara enfiar cautelosamente, plana essa liderança e veja o que o homem no meio fez, quando ele empurrou por mais de 108 mil e o agressor dobrou, tive uma decisão fácil, cancelando o 83K para vencer 220k, ele vira AJCC e mais uma vez euJogue a curva e o rio como um verdadeiro mestre e envie -me até 670k!

Logo depois disso, a mesa quebrou tristemente e eu me senti sentado à esquerda do colega Sligo, Fergal Cawley, de Enniscrone.Sinceramente, nunca vi um homem ter uma mesa de pôquer inteira, revendedores incluídos em nós rindo como Fergal, ele é um ótimo personagem em qualquer mesa de pôquer e realmente ilumina o humor de qualquer jogo em que você estiver. Não estava lá por muito tempo, mas realmente gosteiA aparência da mesa, quando o revendedor estava prestes a arrancar o baralho no meu BB, Toby me deu um toque no ombro para mover mesas.

When i said gl to Fergal he was hovering around 150k and at that point if someone told me a 32 year old Fergal from Sligo would be on the final table that weekend i'd have been surly getting my hopes up, but it was the other Fergal who went on to storm through to the final table and a fine,well deserved 6th place finish, some result for a man who sat down 4 hours late for the tornament,he was to meet his pal in the hotel lobby before they headed down to play together, but he ended up in the Burlington, home of the Irish open a very confused man, unable to find his friend or a poker tornament. When he eventually sat down at his table on day1, he got AAs first hand, doubled up and didnt look back from there til he was last Irish man standing.


The Fall

My new table a little bit tougher by comparison. Here i made a couple of silly basic errors, one in which i overvalued kj in a bvb spot and this was compounded by another when i went to flat call 88s from the bb, but ended up misclicking in a reraise and pricing myself into calling the 4bet shove and somehow finding myself in a 160k pot up against kks, got owned here on all streets as the 8 failed to show:)

At one low point i found myself down to 350k, only 20k up on where i started the day,i rallied to 420k b4 dinner. During the break, i remember noticing a huge jump in the cost per level, think it jumped 6k to 29k in each pot to be played for between blinds and antes and we were 30 players off the bubble, So with everyone still ladened down with carvery in their bellies, i decided it would be a good time to go for gold and put the foot on the pedal.

Acho que derrubei 5 potes incontestados nesta 1ª órbita da tabela, para rock até 550k, jogo fácil.Um sólido jogador lituano, chamado Marius Estava sentado diretamente à minha esquerda, ele estava falando sobre tocar todos os ukipts, esteve em sua tabela de classificação, etc., senti que se alguém fosse capaz de jogar de volta para mim leve, seria esse cara.E seria quando eu criei suas persianas, então, quando eu levante o botão, ainda assim depois do rolo do jantar, eu esperava que ele colocasse algum tipo de luta.Com certeza ele o repita para 60k, jogando 310kish.Situalmente, era o tamanho perfeito para um empurrão de 4bet aqui, não apenas os Staxs estavam certos, mas ele poderia facilmente ser leve, dado o meu pós -interno de imagem agra e estava acima de um aumento de botão.Bubble e ele tem um tamanho de Stax confortável o suficiente para chegar ao dinheiro se ele se dobrar.

Então, eu começo a olho nele e a repetir de uma vida muito forte, eu peguei antes que ele não se sinta confortável com a mão.Eu acho que há montes de pequenos PPs, AAs raggy e KQ/QJ, posso poder dobrar aqui e, se chamado, não vou ser esmagado na maior parte do tempo ..

Então, com tudo o que sei sobre esse jogo me dizendo para empurrar, eu faço ... ele entra no tanque e está prestes a dobrar, quando muda de idéia e faz uma ótima ligação com o A9O.Eu tabela 107o e corremos por uma panela de 880k no 5/10 LVL.Eu toco a vez majestosamente, atingindo meus 10, mas um punho complacente vê o bink que o rio e Marius merecidamente pegam a panela.Depois que ele me disse, ele sabia que eu percebi que estava fraco e havia pressionado isso.Ele também disse que tinha uma conta sobre mim, o que será melhor manter este blog que eu acho !!De qualquer forma, que acertou me reduziu a 200k e acabei empurrando meus J9s por 18bbs do SB e Marius me acabou quando ele encontrou o AK e ele segurou.

He ended up finishing 10th, getting crippled when Sligo came looking for revenge, his aas were cracked by Fergal Cawleys qqs in a pot which would've seen him with a commanding lead entering the final table. He deserved better but if he keeps making correct decisions and playing with balls when needed am sure he'll be hitting big scores soon

The Aftermath

The 107o shove provoked some great debate over the course of the weekend, am lucky enough to be able to discuss these hands with some top players, most agreed that given the situ and my read it was a fine and infact a great spot to get it in. Next day i met Doke and he pointed out the fact that i was hoovering up soo many chips uncontested at such a soft table, so why should i be risking so much of my stack on this high varience play, given my edge. Uggghhh, trust Doke to not give me the answer i was looking for, but thats why he's a great man to chat strategy with.

I checked outta the hotel, put the bags in the car and went into say good luck to some of the lads i knew in the money. Also had the back leg of a horse still in the running so I found myself with Tom Kitt railing our 10%'s of the one man poker phenom that is Sean Prendiville


Sean was down to 17k after the first level and managed to rally back to finish the day with 200k+, he treaded water a lot of day2 but got a rush towards the end to finish up over the mill. Having one of the larger stacks at the business end of the tornie and a proven finsher Sean was everyones tip for the win. His stack climbed to 4 million with 12 left, unfortunatly he fell short at the final hurdle, running into some hands.

Escrevendo isso, eu não conseguia dizer essas mãos, porque Sean nunca refletia sobre elas ou se bate com isso, comparado a mim mesmo que acaba discutindo minha mão de 107o às 7h da manhã seguinte com um motorista de táxi de Dublin!Sean simplesmente não dá uma barragem, não tem apegos emocionais às suas saídas, que é o que o torna tão sangrento perigoso na mesa, como você impressiona um homem que simplesmente não dá macacos!

Ainda assim, outra ótima corrida, de um cara que tem que ser a melhor libra para o jogador irlandês de libra no momento


Após um evento paralelo não para mim, que foi esmagado por Gerard Harraghy, decidi relaxar com minhas primeiras cervejas do fim de semana, mas rapidamente descobri que na companhia de Kitt/Prendiville/os rapazes dos blogs e alguns da JPS CrewNão há apenas alguns.O craic era mortal, uma merda muito engraçada da barriga, com garrafas andando, sapatos e limões ficam presos em globos oculares por 25 euros, noite selvagem, bons tempos.

De qualquer forma, estava obviamente em um mundo de dor, negação e espionagem industrial no dia seguinte, quando acordei com os horrores ... menos disse que, melhor.

Ótimo fim de semana, embora eu esteja pessoalmente desapontado por não converter a pilha Antoher Big em um resultado sólido, definitivamente sinto que estou perto de um grande.Fair Play To the D4 Events Lads, Brain e Mike e JP, Toby e sua equipe de revendedores para um show de poço, ainda chocados com quantos estrangeiros eles conseguiram superar esses eventos.Foi ótimo conversar com todos os rostos habituais e conhecer novas cabeças também.Há um grande espírito de câmera na cena do poker local, que é mais evidente nesses eventos de compra menor de campo.

Once again, a top class job was done by Danny, Kev, Carl and Ailbe from irishpokerboards. They're really forming a tight blogging machine and hopefully every Irish event will see the need for local knowledge and enthuasism in the reporting.

Its off to Paris morrow with Shaun Craig for the Pokerstars French Poker Series Grand Final, its a 2k buyin in a fairly swanky Parisian Casino, playing day1c, so fingers crossed i can convert this one.....
